About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Programme Manager to support the delivery of a high-profile, complex software programme for a high profile client. This role will operate at a strategic and operational level, ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams, accelerating delivery, and maintaining strong governance in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
You will work closely with the Delivery Assurance Competency Centre Manager and senior stakeholders to drive execution, manage risk, and ensure high-quality outcomes at pace
What you will do
Program Leadership & Delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of a multi-stream software programme

Drive execution across product, engineering, and client teams

Ensure delivery milestones are met within agreed timelines, scope, and budget

Understand and translate future client demand into detailed resource plans

Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, product, QA, DevOps, etc.)

Provide leadership and direction to project managers and delivery leads
-
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Stakeholder Managment

Act as a senior point of contact for internal and client stakeholders

Build strong relationships with C-level and senior client representatives

Provide clear, concise reporting on programme status, risks, and dependencies

Facilitate alignment across business and technical stakeholders
Governance & Planning
-
Establish and maintain robust programme governance structures
-
Oversee programme planning, roadmaps, and interdependencies
-
Implement appropriate delivery frameworks (Agile, hybrid, or scaled Agile)
-
Ensure transparency through effective reporting and communication cadence
-
Support budget tracking, forecasting, and commercial management
-
Ensure delivery aligns with contractual commitments and client expectations
-
Ensure consistent governance across project in the the program and balance speed of delivery with quality and sustainability
Risk & Issue Management

Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues
-
Drive resolution of complex blockers across teams and organisations

Maintain RAID logs and ensure appropriate escalation when required
Requirements
Essentials
-
Structured and detail-oriented approach to governance and process.
-
Proven experience as a Senior Programme Manager in software delivery environments
-
Strong track record delivering complex, multi-workstream programmes
-
Experience working with high-growth / VC-backed / scale-up clients
-
Deep understanding of software development lifecycles (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc.)

Excellent stakeholder management skills, including C-suite engagement

Strong commercial awareness and experience managing delivery against contracts

Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
-
Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills
