The Role

We are seeking a Java Technical Lead to drive the implementation of technical solutions aligned with the architect’s vision. This role involves guiding and supporting the development team, ensuring high code quality, and promoting best practices. The ideal candidate will be proactive in task analysis, creation, and refinement, with a strong ability to see the bigger picture and contribute strategically to project success.

What you will do

  • Lead the design and implementation of robust server-side logic, RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and backend services, ensuring alignment with overall architecture and business goals.
  • Guide the development of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code, adhering to industry best practices and promoting coding standards across the team.
  • Oversee the design and optimization of database schemas to support efficient, reliable data structures and workflows.
  • Provide direction in crafting complex queries and stored procedures for optimized data processing and access.
  • Supervise the integration of external services, third-party APIs, and enterprise systems to enhance functionality and interoperability.
  • Actively contribute to architectural and design discussions, ensuring technical decisions support long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Implementation of unit, integration, and API tests, fostering a culture of quality and reliability in software delivery.
  • Conduct and participate in code reviews to uphold high development standards and mentor team members.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business analysts to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions.
  • Take an active role in agile ceremonies—including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—to drive team alignment and continuous improvement.

  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Messaging Systems: JMS (Artemis, AMQ, Azure Service Bus)
  • CI/CD: Azure Pipelines
  • Testing: JUnit, Mockito
  • Authentication & Communication: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (via Spring), WebSockets
  • Operating Systems & Tools: Unix/Linux systems, Git
  • Grafana, OpenAPI principles, Basic statistics knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaboration and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and code quality
  • Ownership of deliverables and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Adaptability to different technologies, frameworks, and business domains
