The Role

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to help design, develop, and maintain reliable server-side logic, APIs, and backend services.

You’ll collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications that power our core systems.

What you will do

  • Design and implement server-side logic, RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and backend services.
  • Develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Design and optimize database schemas.
  • Write complex queries and procedures for efficient data handling.
  • Integrate external services, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Participate in system architecture and design discussions.
  • Implement unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
  • Work closely with frontend teams, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business analysts.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Programming Languages: Java (17+), Maven
  • Frameworks: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, ReactiveJ, WebFlux
  • API Development: RESTful APIs, GraphQL
  • Databases: Redis, MSSQL, Azure Table Storage, r2dbc
  • Cloud: Azure Function Apps, Azure Table Storage
  • Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes
  • Messaging Systems: JMS (Artemis, AMQ, Azure Service Bus)
  • CI/CD: Azure Pipelines
  • Testing: JUnit, Mockito
  • Authentication & Communication: OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (via Spring), WebSockets
  • Operating Systems & Tools: Unix/Linux systems, Git
  • Grafana, OpenAPI principles, Basic statistics knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaboration and teamwork across multidisciplinary teams
  • Attention to detail and code quality
  • Ownership of deliverables and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Adaptability to different technologies, frameworks, and business domains
