The Role
We seek a Senior DevOps Engineer within the Content and Customer Support Engineering group. Supporting the Partner Platform, Partner applications are used worldwide by content creators to interact and publish their content onto the platform, including games, apps, movies, music and more. The ideal candidate has experience developing and maintaining sophisticated platform solutions, a history of taking ownership and driving IT initiatives that continually improve efficiency, agility, performance, and operational excellence.
What you will do
- Working within the team to drive DevOps excellence and to support and deliver operational requirements
- Support and maintain large scale production workloads, web applications, microservices deployed in the cloud (AWS)
- Actively build and support the move from monolithic to services-based architecture
- Facilitate collaboration across multiple engineering teams.
- Drive innovation and continuous process improvement across the platform with a focus on automation.
- Participate in global technical communities, helping to set and drive platform standards.
- Support the full software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Automation & system provisioning, metrics, monitoring, scalability, and security.
- Fluency in at least one programming language other than bash e.g. GO, Python
- Developing CI/CD processes, automation, and workflows
- Operating one or more CI solutions for production workloads (Jenkins, TravisCI, teamCity, etc)
- Operating Production Cloud Workloads in at least one cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Delivering Production content using CDN technologies (Akamai, Cloudfront)
- Operating Production containers workloads and container orchestration technologies(Kubernetes).
- Experience tracking SLA/SLI and continuously improving
- Strong RCA, solving, and debugging skills
- Strong Understanding of Networking & Information Security
- Self-motivated, strong interpersonal skills
- Able to decompose sophisticated problems into simple components
