The Role

Join our team as a Mid-level Backend .NET Engineer and play a key role in developing and maintaining a complex, high-performance web application for a top US healthcare provider. This involves a significant overhaul of the existing system, along with the development of new and improved features.

This collaborative role involves close partnerships with UX/UI Designers, Front End Developers, and Product Managers to ensure seamless integration and deliver exceptional solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in building robust, scalable, and secure server-side solutions that power the application.

What you will do

  • Design, build, and maintain robust backend services using C# and .NET 6+
  • Develop and consume RESTful APIs and support data processing pipelines
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
  • Optimize existing features and improve performance and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and system design sessions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers
  • Enable healthcare-specific use cases such as:
    • Care coordination across multiple providers
    • Claims assistance and benefit utilization support
    • Mental health resource delivery
    • Healthcare navigation tools

Requirements

  • 2–5 years of experience working in backend development with C#/.NET
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, relational databases (SQL Server or similar), and API versioning
  • Experience with microservice-based architecture
  • Experience with LinQ, Dapper, Entity Framework, and asynchronous programming
  • Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks as xUnit or NUnit
  • Experience using version control systems (Git/GitHub)
  • Understanding of basic cloud concepts (AWS)
  • Comfortable working in agile environments
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor other developers
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality code
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

  • Exposure to messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus) and Event Driven Architecture
  • Basic knowledge of Docker and containerized development
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Experience working in healthcare or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect
  • Multilingual software development experience
