About the role
We’re looking for a Manual QA Engineer who enjoys digging into web and mobile apps to make sure everything works as expected. You’ll spend your time exploring features, trying out different scenarios, and sharing clear, straightforward feedback. If you have experience in banking or insurance and a knack for finding quirks before they reach users, you’ll feel right at home.
You’ll join a small team; 3–5 developers, a business analyst, another tester, and our Scrum Master – all collaborating closely. We work alongside our client, so you’re invited to join them in their office three times a week for hands-on testing and discussions.
What you’ll do:
- Review and analyze business and technical requirements to ensure complete test coverage
- Identify and document acceptance criteria and define relevant test conditions
- Design, write, and execute test cases, scripts, and scenarios for Front-end web and/or mobile applications
- Perform a wide range of manual testing types: functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and UAT
- Log detailed defect reports and collaborate with developers to investigate, prioritize, and resolve issues
- Re-test resolved issues to confirm correct fixes and prevent regressions
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of test cases, results, and QA metrics
- Participate in Agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and requirement workshops
- Contribute to process improvements, best practices, and QA documentation standards
Skills and qualities we appreciate:
- Manual testing techniques: functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, UAT
- Experience working with cross-browser and cross-device testing (web and mobile)
- Postman, SoapUI, Insomnia for validating API endpoints
- Jira, Zephyr, Xray, TestRail, qTest
- ISTQB CTFL certification (or equivalent knowledge)
- At least 1 year of previous experience working in banking, fintech, or insurance sectors
- Chrome DevTools for inspecting and debugging UI behavior
- Basic SQL for backend and data verification
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
- Analytical mindset and logical thinking
- Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong time management, independence, and teamwork
- Adaptability to new tools and changing project requirements
