The Role

We’re seeking a mid-level Software Engineer with strong Node.js skills to drive backend development. As a Software Engineer, this is an opportunity for you to create robust, scalable, and secure microservices that power a SaaS platform and make governance easy. You’ll have the full power of AWS at your disposal, and you’ll be focused on building serverless solutions.

What you will do

  • Design and implement server-side logic, RESTful APIs / GraphQL endpoints, and backend services.
  • Develop scalable, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Design and optimize database schemas.
  • Write complex queries and procedures for efficient data handling.
  • Integrate external services, APIs, and third-party systems.
  • Participate in system architecture and design discussions.
  • Implement unit, integration, and API tests to ensure application reliability.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high development standards.
  • Work closely with frontend teams, DevOps engineers, product owners, and business analysts.
  • Contribute to agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Solid experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on backend development with NodeJS 
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with at least one of the following database systems: PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MSSQL
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes for application containerization and orchestration
  • Experience implementing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions
  • Familiarity with writing unit tests, ideally using JUnit
  • Proficient in using Git and GitHub 
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork in cross-functional environments
  • A proactive, self-driven attitude toward learning and improvement
