About the role

Zenitech is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join our growing team in the payments and banking sector. You’ll be working with a leading bank, helping to develop and maintain robust, future-proof payment and fraud systems in a highly regulated environment.

This role requires on-site presence at the client’s office for three days per week, providing you with direct collaboration opportunities with key stakeholders and development teams. As a key member of the Payment Services Technical Tribe, you’ll own the product backlog, define use cases, and ensure that business goals are met while working closely with stakeholders, vendors, and development teams.

What you will do

  • Define and prioritize product backlog items based on business needs and technical dependencies.
  • Write clear, detailed user stories and product requirements with well-defined acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with business and engineering stakeholders, as well as domestic and international vendors.
  • Support development teams by clarifying requirements and ensuring smooth implementation.
  • Act as the Scrum Product Owner, attending ceremonies and driving Agile best practices.
  • Align with stakeholders to define product roadmaps, release timelines, and priorities.

Skills and qualities we appreciate

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner.
  • Strong background in payments, financial services, and banking processes.
  • Experience writing both technical and functional requirements.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and experience with Atlassian tools.
  • Scrum Product Owner certification or similar qualifications (preferred).
  • Fluent in both Hungarian and English (written & spoken).
  • A logical, problem-solving mindset with strong organizational skills.
