About the role:

The Bid Manager is responsible for managing, preparing, and submitting bids in response to invitations to tender (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs, etc.) from prospects or clients. The Bid Manager is accountable for all aspects of the bid process and seeks to maximize the chances of winning new business opportunities by ensuring the full spectrum of Zenitech’s capabilities is included in the response.

The Bid Manager plays a crucial role in embedding consistency and quality by bringing together the appropriate qualified talent from Sales and the Competency Centres to complete the bid documentation with full well-crafted answers to the questions.

The Bid Manager is continually and proactively working to improve processes and build a deal knowledge database.

What you’ll do:

  • Own the Bid process, and make sure it is followed, improved, and tracked
  • Own the tender monitoring, filtering, documentation gathering, and submission for public procurement tenders from various geographies and organizations
  • Own the process and submission of subsidy documentation and monitoring KPIs for government-financed subsidies
  • Develop a winning strategy that aligns with the company’s strengths and the client’s needs
  • Gather and collate all relevant data of past and ongoing bids
  • Oversee the entire bid process, and manage resources effectively to ensure timelines are met whilst delivering a high-quality response
  • Collaborate with all functions within Zenitech (e.g., sales, finance, delivery) to gather the necessary information and contributions for the bids e.g. with finance and sales teams to develop accurate and competitive pricing models
  • Analyse competitors and market conditions to position the bid favorably
  • Act as an editor for the proposal document, ensuring it is compelling, accurate, and consistent in style, format, and language
  • Ensure the bid complies with all client and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with the bid and implementation phases
  • Conduct post-bid debriefs to gather insights for future bids, regardless of win/loss outcome
  • Provide input on behalf of Bid Management to enable Zenitech’s internal tools to stay up-to-date

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Present Zenitech in all bid responses with a high degree of professionalism
  • Ensure all solution options are considered and prioritized to understand the best-suited solution for both the client and Zenitech
  • Act as a guardian of bid quality for all responses

Skills and qualities we appreciate:

  • 5+ years experience in a software services company
  • 2+ years experience in a position that required the preparation and submission of bids in response to invitations to tender (RFPs, RFQs, ITTs, etc.)
  • Experience in EU and Hungarian public procurement tenders
  • Bilingual proficiency in Hungarian and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposals and interaction with internal stakeholders and clients
  • A solid understanding of commercial models, IT services, software development lifecycle, solutions, and technologies
  • Certification in CSM, PMI-ACP, ITIL is a plus
