About the role

We are on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer with a keen interest or experience in IoT. This role is pivotal to our operations, focusing on assisting our clients in optimizing their data infrastructure. The successful candidate will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing data solutions that not only support advanced analytics and machine learning but also facilitate insightful reporting and informed decision-making. By working closely with client teams, you will play a vital role in transforming raw data into strategic assets.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with clients to understand their data architecture and propose solutions that enhance data accessibility, integrity, and utility.
• Advise on and implement scalable ETL processes for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading, tailored to each client’s specific needs.
• Guide clients in managing and optimizing data workflows and pipelines, ensuring robust support for analytics, reporting, and decision-making processes.
• Provide expertise in data warehousing, stream processing, and cloud services, offering recommendations and insights for system improvements.
• Lead client projects, ensuring clarity in communication, effective planning, and successful execution from inception through to delivery.
• Promote and ensure data accuracy and consistency across various sources by implementing data quality checks and balances.
• Assist in deploying scalable solutions for machine learning model integration and data analytics, focusing on maximizing insight extraction and operational efficiency.

Skills and qualities we appreciate

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python programming and Linux shell scripting.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and modern data warehousing techniques.
• Demonstrable experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), stream processing systems (e.g., Kafka), data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Synapse, etc.) and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Solid understanding of and experience with data quality practices, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to tackling challenges and providing solutions.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities, able to guide client teams and stakeholders through complex data projects.
