About the role
The PMO Manager – Delivery Assurance plays a critical leadership role in shaping and governing project delivery excellence across Zenitech’s delivery organisation. This role is accountable for defining, embedding, and continuously evolving project governance frameworks, driving consistency, transparency, and performance at scale.
Working in close partnership with senior stakeholders, delivery leadership, and the Project Management community, the PMO Manager leads the PMO function, ensuring that delivery standards are not only defined but actively adopted and optimised. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, requiring strong expertise in software delivery environments (Agile and Waterfall), organisational governance, and performance management.
The PMO Manager is responsible for building a high-performing PMO capability that enables proactive risk management, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement across all projects and programmes.
What you will do
1. PMO Leadership & Strategy

Working with the Delivery Assurance Competency Centre Manage, define and lead the PMO strategy, aligning governance frameworks with Zenitech’s business and delivery objectives.

Establish and evolve PMO operating models, ensuring scalability across projects and programmes.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on delivery performance, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Lead, mentor, and develop PMO analysts and support roles
2. Project Governance and Control
-
Own and continuously improve project governance frameworks, standards, and controls across the organisation.

Ensure consistent application of methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, hybrid) aligned with Zenitech standards.

Define governance structures for programme and portfolio-level oversight.

Drive compliance while balancing pragmatism and delivery efficiency.
3. Delivery Performance Control

Own and evolve the Zenitech PMO dashboard, ensuring real-time visibility of delivery performance.

Establish standardised reporting (MI) for project, programme, and portfolio levels.

Lead regular portfolio reviews and deep-dive project assessments.

Identify systemic risks, delivery trends, and performance gaps, driving corrective actions.

Provide strategic insights and recommendations to improve delivery outcomes.
4. Standards & Artefacts Management

Own the end-to-end PM framework, including templates, tools, and methodologies.

Ensure tooling (e.g., dashboards, PM systems) supports governance and reporting needs.

Drive adoption and continuous improvement of standards across the organisation.
5. Continuous Improvement & Learning

Lead initiatives to increase PMO and delivery maturity.

Facilitate lessons learned, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption.

Build and nurture a high-performing PM community, embedding continuous learning.

Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and accountability.

Requirements
-
5+ years experience in project management or PMO roles within the software development area.
-
Proven experience leading or establishing PMO functions.
-
Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
-
Demonstrated ability to operate at portfolio/programme level.
-
Strong analytical capability with experience translating data into strategic insights.
-
Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, and PM tooling (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Monday, Asana, Power BI).

Strong understanding of commercial drivers, client delivery, and revenue impact.
