About the role
The Resourcing Specialist works closely with the Delivery Operations to execute the engineering resourcing strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. The role is focused on supporting capacity planning, facilitating resource allocation, and ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of capabilities between client engagements (projects) and software engineering Competency Centers.
Resourcing specialists drive predictability through forecasting, planning, and scheduling. The role carries responsibility for best-fit allocation of the required project capabilities at each stage of the software development lifecycle. This includes enlisting Talent acquisition functions to recruit in support of business goals and to ensure our capabilities reflect market demand. Resourcing specialist works closely with the Demand Organisation (CSMs, Sales) as well as with the Competence Centers; balancing Demand and Capacity and in doing so helping the management reach efficiency at delivering quality.
What you will do

Resource demand coordination: support delivery in clarifying resource requirements across active and upcoming engagements

Contractor management (facilitating onboarding, regular check ins, managing service reviews, proactive contract timelines management, offboarding)

Resource Allocation: Assist in balancing the allocation of resource capabilities across projects to meet efficiency goals while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.

Forecasting and Scheduling: Support the Resourcing Manager in forecasting, planning, and scheduling resources to ensure predictability and readiness for future demand.

Best-Fit Resource Placement: Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources that align with the specific needs of each stage of the software development lifecycle.

Demand and Capacity Management: Work closely with the Demand Organization (CSMs, Sales) and Competence Centers to balance demand and capacity, providing actionable insights and data to facilitate decision-making.

Collaboration with Talent Acquisition: Partner with the Talent Acquisition function to ensure timely recruitment efforts that align with business goals and market demand for capabilities.

Reporting and Insights: Provide regular updates on resource utilization, capacity planning, and potential gaps to the Resourcing Manager, ensuring data-driven decisions.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline resource allocation processes and contribute to improving overall efficiency and quality in resourcing.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in a similar role within project driven IT organisations, exposure to cross-function collaboration

Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Experience coordinating contractor onboarding and lifecycle management

Strong technical acumen with a solid understanding of key programming languages and frameworks

Understanding of Software Development and Project Management principles

Sound knowledge of core Software Development principles

Strong focus on problem-solving and effective decision-making
