The Role
You’ll become an integral part of Zenitech’s Delivery team, taking on the role of an Oracle PL/SQL Developer with advanced technical expertise and senior experience. Operating from our Budapest offices, you’ll collaborate with a diverse, distributed team of engineers dedicated to impactful projects.
In this role, you will join our client’s team in the banking and financial sector to work on a mortgage product. Also, in this role, we will invite the new colleagues to come to the client’s modern office in Budapest 3 times a week.
What you will do
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL code to ensure efficient performance within Oracle databases
- Manage and maintain Oracle database environments, specifically versions 12 and 19
- Write, review, and optimize SQL scripts for performance tuning
- Design and develop applications using Oracle Forms and Reports
- Implement and maintain Oracle Fusion Middleware solutions
- Utilize Java in the Oracle Database (OJVM) for application development
- Oversee the use of Oracle development and build/generate tools to streamline processes
- Establish and maintain version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and standardized software development practices
- Lead and manage development teams from a technical perspective, fostering collaboration and productivity
- Provide coaching and mentoring to junior developers and team members to enhance their skills
- Manage tasks according to Agile methodology, working closely with team members
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL developer
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle databases, specifically versions 12 and 19
- Proficient in writing SQL scripts with a focus on optimization and performance tuning
- Advanced expertise in Oracle Forms and Reports development
- Familiarity with Oracle Fusion Middleware technologies
- Knowledge of Java within the Oracle Database environment (OJVM)
- Experience utilizing Oracle development and build/generation tools
- Proven experience in establishing version control, CI/CD processes, and a standardized software development lifecycle
- Experience in a management or Tech Lead role
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to coach and mentor team members
- Proficiency in both Hungarian and English languages
Great if you have
- Agile experience using Scrum methodology
- Proficient in Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Experience in the banking sector with a solid understanding of banking principles
- Background in mortgage products
- Professional experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or Solution Architect

*This role requires working for a couple of days on-site in the client’s office.
