About the role

Currently, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who will act as a Technical lead in one of our teams. You will become a part of our multicultural team working on one of our projects in the gaming industry where you will work with client’s platforms to support multiple verticals, trigger more promotion types and other unsupported features, integrated with multiple gaming, feed and payment providers.

The team will be involved in defining the technical strategy and architectural direction, to move away as much as possible from stored procedures by using more modern technologies and architecture.

What you will do

  • Apply knowledge of professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, perform code reviews, and pair programming to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Set coding standards, best practices, and enforce quality across the team
  • Lead the investigation of complex technical problems and production issues
  • Ensure collaboration between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
  • Make decisions on software architecture, tools, and frameworks
  • Lead the team from a technical perspective to deliver a high-quality output
  • Help improve the overall user experience, making sure our solutions meet the business requirements
  • Promote an innovative mindset within the team, advocating for automation or simplification where possible
  • Ensure smooth delivery, deployment and monitoring processes
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and ensure timely delivery
  • Be part of a self-contained Agile team, working closely with other internal stakeholders, including other Software Engineers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and Product Owners.

Skills and qualities we appreciate

  • Proven experience with C#, .NET Core 5+, .NET framework, and ASP.NET
  • Experience designing software architecture
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server) and ORM tools (Entity Framework) 
  • Understanding of database design, optimization, and query performance
  • Knowledge of Front-end technologies (JavaScript frameworks like Angular, and React would be beneficial)
  • Knowledge of Cloud services (preferably AWS)
  • SCM / Pipelines (preferably Azure Devops)
  • Continuous Deployment
  • Experience in creating and consuming REST-based WEB services
  • You know how to work to SOLID principles where possible and operate in an Agile methodology & you know object-orientated programming
  • Willingness to help and share your knowledge
  • You are willing to analyze and be proactive in asking questions
  • You can communicate comfortably with internal stakeholders and the immediate team
  • Familiar with Agile/SCRUM/Lean software development
  • Strong leadership skills. Ability to guide and mentor team members, provide constructive feedback, and resolve conflicts
