About the role
We are looking for a motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our growing team in Budapest. This is a great opportunity for you to gain experience in an international company with offices in 4 countries.
What you’ll do:
- Accounting and overseeing the following tasks done by the team: entering purchase invoices, sales invoices, bank transactions, fixed assets and different general ledger journals
- Some supervision and management of more junior team members
- Contribute to wider initiatives in support of the growing international Finance team
- Process bank payments and bank reconciliations
- Participate in period-end closing procedures to tight deadlines
- Resolve payroll queries
- Be a part of a monthly payroll data preparation process
- Assist with annual audit
- Participate in project-related accounting including cost allocation
- Prepare standard and ad hoc reports
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform P&L reporting
- Manage the fixed asset register
- Prepayments & accruals
Skills and qualities we appreciate:
- Accounting knowledge and minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting or similar
- Fluent Hungarian and English language skills, written and verbal
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets skills
- Experience using international accounting software. Experience using AccountsIQ or any Sage software advantageous
- Strong attention to detail will be needed to maintain an accurate financial information
