Responsible engineering
We’ve cut emissions by 22% since 2023 and we’re not stopping there.
A values-led approach
We place an emphasis on sustainable growth and creating nurturing environments where our people can live, work and thrive. This principle guides our approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices.
We are focused on delivering continuous improvements that benefit our community, our customers, our industry, our society and our planet.
Minimising our environmental footprint
Sustainable growth
We are committed to protecting the environment around us and keeping our ecological impact to a minimum. To that end, we have designed an environmental management system (EMS) that is compliant with all relevant environmental regulations, we have also gained ISO 14001 across all our sites in 2025.
Lower GHG emissions
As a company we have successfully taken steps to reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Initiatives, such as a reduction in waste, lower energy consumption, greater renewable electricity sourcing and responsible travel, have helped to reduce carbon emissions by 22%. In 2025, we achieved carbon neutrality, by offsetting our 580 tonnes of CO₂e through proven environmental projects in India (500t) and Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
Our latest carbon reduction report is available to read here.
ESG Ambassadors
To support our sustainability initiatives, we have appointed ESG ambassadors, overseen by operations manager, Laura Maxim, with the board-level support of CFO, Matt Long. Our ambassadors gather input from our regional communities and introduce smart practices at a local level.
Building upon strong governance
Continuous improvement
To drive continuous improvement throughout our business, we have developed a quality management process that aligns with ISO 9001. This process ensures we have clear controls guiding our operations. It also ensures we meet compliance standards, as well as our customers’ high expectations.
Data governance
We have a mature and robust information security management system in place to protect our customers’ data. We are compliant with the international standard ISO 27001 and adhere to the stringent requirements of the Cyber Essentials certification.
DEI&B guidance
We are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that values diversity, inclusivity and community support. We encourage our teams to engage in activities that enrich and strengthen a sense of belonging and collective responsibility. We have published clear guidance on our approach to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEI&B), supported by a trusted Employee Concern channel, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all our people.
At Zenitech, we’re proud to be Disability Confident Committed – its one of the ways we’re continuing to show our commitment to DEI&B. Our goal is build a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to share their talents.
Our social impact
We believe in sharing knowledge and helping others grow. That is why we regularly share research with peers, mentor university students, and support education projects – like donating books and resources to school libraries in Romania.
We also give back to our local communities through charitable efforts. These have included funding defibrillators for hikers in Romania, and volunteering in tree-planting activities as part of a government-led initiative in Lithuania.
