Zenitech has undergone a profound far reaching transformation to become a more agile, international organisation capable of delivering exceptional value at scale, while preserving the culture, curiosity, and technical excellence that define us.
Why change was needed
Post-Covid, the world entered a phase of rapid digital transformation. Businesses urgently sought solutions that leveraged emerging technologies to drive real outcomes. Zenitech’s services were in high demand, and our team grew to over 500 engineers across the UK, Lithuania, Romania, and Hungary.
Despite strong financial performance, we recognised that our regional structure was becoming a barrier to consistent service delivery. We needed to remove silos, internationalise our talent, and streamline operations to ensure customers could easily access the right engineering expertise—no matter where it sat in the organisation.
Strategic Actions We Took
1. Global Alignment
We transitioned from regionally driven teams to a unified international business. This included:
- Harmonising role descriptions, seniority scales, and workflows
- Adopting universal governance practices
- Creating clear career paths and improving internal mobility
The result was a consistent experience for clients and employees across all locations and functions.
2. Bringing Expertise to the Forefront
We introduced key organisational structures to surface knowledge and unlock innovation:
- The Technology Office, led by Ruxandra Banici, became our R&D engine—evaluating 18 active use cases for next-generation technologies and incubating client-focused innovations. Partnering with academic institutions like the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, it positioned Zenitech at the forefront of industry innovation evolution.
- Competency Centres, under Laimonas Krivickas, were established to deliver technical solutions with future-ready capabilities. These cross-border hubs enable better skill matching, faster problem-solving, global best practice sharing, and personalised career development.
- A New Commercial Team, led by Natalie Miller, was launched to communicate our value clearly and operate internationally. This sharpened our customer focus and ensured we could support clients anywhere in the world.
This new front office approach was reinforced by the appointment of CEO Sam Kingston. With a strong track record in business transformation, Sam brought renewed focus to our core strengths and accelerated revenue growth.
Rolling Out the Vision
Transformation required more than operational change—it required cultural stewardship. We communicated a clear vision and actively involved our people, gathering feedback and allowing employees to help shape the roadmap.
This inclusive approach:
- Preserved trust and engagement
- Protected our culture of curiosity and collaboration
- Provided real-time feedback that improved our implementation strategy
The Outcome: A New Zenitech
Today, Zenitech is a faster, more resilient, and globally aligned technology partner. We’ve built an infrastructure that enables:
- Faster innovation and prototyping through the Technology Office
- Smarter, skill-aligned delivery through Competency Centres
- Global client support and sustained growth through our Commercial Team
We’ve futureproofed our operations, improved client delivery, and created meaningful new career pathways—all while staying true to what makes us special.
