What do you need?

If you are considering your cloud strategy for the future, our new guide, Key Considerations for Designing and Implementing a Successful Cloud Strategy, will help you decide on what you need: private cloud (owned and managed by you); public cloud (owned by the likes of Amazon or Google); or a hybrid cloud (where some less sensitive data is held in the public cloud, and some – like customer data – is held in a private cloud).

This is our third piece in Zenitech’s Future Technology series, and will give you what you need to know in order to make the decisions to set your future cloud strategy. It will look at the basics of cloud computing, update you on developments in cloud technologies such as edge computing, guide you through the various options, and give you the low-down on the main cloud service providers, focusing on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

There are, of course, huge benefits to cloud computing for organisations, and we’ll look at these, too: saving on overheads, creating efficiencies, faster turnaround times for development, and increased data security. But we’ll also look at how to avoid the common pitfalls, such as vendor lock-in, escalating cloud costs (a major concern for our clients), and security challenges.

And finally, we talk about what you need to know about the future direction of cloud technologies, including the role AI will play, autonomous databases, quantum computing cloud services, gaming, and VR and AR.
