Zenitech strengthens its cybersecurity credentials across Europe.

Zenitech successfully passed the Hungarian NIS2 cybersecurity audit and received its official NIS2 Certificate in Hungary, following a comprehensive and rigorous external assessment.

This milestone means Zenitech met the regulatory deadline of 30 June 2026, set under Hungary’s implementation of the EU’s Network and Information Security 2 (NIS2) Directive, the European Union’s flagship cybersecurity legislation, designed to raise cyber resilience across organisations operating in critical and important sectors.

One of the EU's most demanding regimes

Hungary’s implementation of NIS2 is recognised as one of the most demanding within the EU. It requires an independent audit carried out by an accredited assessor, followed by submission of the audit report to the Supervisory Authority for Regulatory Affairs of Hungary (SARA), known locally as the SZTFH (Szabályozott Tevékenységek Felügyeleti Hatósága).

Successfully clearing this process confirms the strength and maturity of Zenitech’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and its ability to meet rigorous, independently verified cybersecurity standards.

A consistent standard across Europe

The Hungarian certification adds to Zenitech’s existing NIS2 compliance in Romania and Lithuania. In both countries, national implementations of the directive recognise ISO/IEC 27001 certification as sufficient to demonstrate compliance with NIS2’s cybersecurity requirements, meaning organisations with a certified ISMS, like Zenitech, can evidence compliance through that existing certification.

Together, these achievements reflect a consistent, high standard of information security governance across all countries where Zenitech operates.

A collective achievement

Zenitech’s leadership credited the result to close collaboration across the business. The audit process was supported throughout by Zenitech’s infrastructure and technical teams, who provided the expertise, evidence and hands-on support needed to see it through successfully, working alongside an experienced, accredited external auditor.

The achievement also reflects the wider efforts of colleagues across Engineering, IT, Operations, HR, Legal, Finance and beyond, who worked together to maintain the security controls, processes and documentation needed to meet the standard.

More than a compliance milestone

For Zenitech, passing the audit represents more than regulatory compliance. It reinforces the company’s ongoing commitment to protecting its clients, its people and its business through a strong culture of cybersecurity and continual improvement.

Zenitech will continue to invest in its information security practices as it grows operations across Europe, ensuring clients can rely on a consistently high standard of protection wherever they work with the company.
