The Role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with Node.js expertise to develop and maintain core digital services for an airline’s online platforms. This role involves building booking functionalities, content delivery systems, and integrations with various internal and external systems. 

The team focuses on scalability, reliability, and modern architecture, leveraging microservices, cloud platforms, and modern frontend technologies to deliver a seamless experience for millions of customers. You’ll be part of a fast-paced environment, working with Agile methodologies that emphasize collaboration, code quality, and continuous delivery.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs.
  • Build scalable, reliable, and secure systems to support the client’s digital platforms.
  • Participate in architecture discussions and provide technical leadership.
  • Mentor medior developers, share best practices, and support professional growth.
  • Ensure best practices in API design, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (FE, QA, DevOps).

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend development experience.
  • Strong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Proven experience in RESTful API design, authentication, and versioning.
  • Familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
  • Excellent teamwork, proactive problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
