About the role

As the IT Manager at Zenitech, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our IT assets & infrastructure. The IT assets you will manage are both hardware and software including SaaS tools. Your responsibilities are maintaining a secure and efficient IT environment, managing the IT support budget, leading a dedicated team which handles device provisioning, network support and provides seamless technical assistance/support and troubleshooting.

Based in Budapest, you will join a dynamic, multicultural team of Zenitechers working on high-impact projects. This role involves overseeing the Zenitech IT function across Hungary, Lithuania, and Romania, placing you at the centre of our mission to drive innovation and excellence within IT operations.

What you’ll do

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting: Lead a team responsible for providing technical support to Zenitechers. Resolve IT-related issues promptly and efficiently. Manage the IT Support team from both technical and people leadership perspectives
  • IT Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and inventory of all IT assets, including servers, networking equipment, computers, and other hardware. Ensure assets are properly tracked in an asset register and maintained according to contractual obligations
  • SaaS Tool Management: Manage all Software as a Service (SaaS) tools used across the company. Ensure proper licensing, subscription management, and compliance with terms of use
  • Device Provisioning and Support: Oversee the provisioning of devices to employees, including laptops, mobile devices, and other hardware. Ensure timely setup and support for new hires and existing employees
  • Network and Infrastructure Maintenance: Maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and other critical systems. Ensure high availability, reliability, and security
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices to protect IT assets and sensitive data. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Budget Control: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Monitor expenditures and provide regular reports to senior management
  • Maintain IT infrastructure to ensure it is fit for purpose
  • Regularly inspect, report faults, and troubleshoot hardware equipment and software components
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers Negotiate contracts, ensure service level agreements are met, and coordinate technical support as needed

Skills and qualities we appreciate

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the internal IT Infrastructure & IT Support at senior positions
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Office 365
  • Experience setting up and managing IT service desk
  • Working in hybrid environments (on-prem and cloud solutions)
  • Google Workspace and MS administration experience
  • Experience in Powershell scripts
