The Role
We’re looking for a Senior .NET Engineer to join our collaborative, multicultural team at Zenitech. In this high-impact role, you’ll be instrumental in modernizing and replatforming a corporate governance application suite, with a strong focus on adopting AWS-native technologies.
This unique opportunity allows you to balance ongoing maintenance with continuous research and development, introducing scalable backend systems built with .NET and modern cloud infrastructure. What you will do
- Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services using C#/.NET Core.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases to model, query, and store data efficiently.
- Integrate with event-based systems and messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Contribute to microservices migration and deployment into AWS.
- Implement unit and integration testing to ensure service reliability.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers and architects on system design and interfaces.
- Participate in peer reviews, refactoring sessions, and CI/CD improvements.
Own feature delivery from design to deployment in an Agile setting.
Requirements
- Strong experience in backend development with C# (.NET Core).
- Experience with ASP.NET Core
- Solid knowledge of Entity Framework for database interactions
- Experience in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
- Strong expertise in MSSQL.
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or SQS.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization.
- Experience with GitHub Actions /Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with testing tools, like xUnit and Postman.
- Proven ability to work across distributed teams.
- Strong system design and problem-solving skills.
- Ownership and ability to deliver under strict timelines.
- Interest in mentoring and technical leadership.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of TypeScript is a strong advantage.
- Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
- Familiarity with Redis or PostgreSQL databases is a good-to-have.
- Cloud experience, particularly with AWS.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems
- Familiarity with file-sharing, compliance, or enterprise document systems
- Solid grasp of software design patterns and clean architecture principles
