The Role
You will join Zenitech to work directly on client projects, contributing to the enhancement of critical systems. One key project involves a legacy motorway matrix sign network that provides drivers with real-time information on accidents, weather conditions, and traffic rerouting. Your work will focus on implementing new features, such as enabling all signs in a specific area to update simultaneously during major incidents, improving traffic management and driver safety.
This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful, high-visibility client solutions while collaborating closely with both the client and Zenitech’s technical teams.
What you will do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate business and technical requirements
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, use cases, and process flows
- Act as a liaison between business units and development teams throughout the software development lifecycle (Scrum, Waterfall)
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions with business and IT stakeholders
- Support Product Owners in managing and prioritizing backlogs and defining acceptance criteria
- Analyze and map current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) business processes and systems
- Work with QA teams to support test planning, test case design, and validation activities
- Contribute to the planning and execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early, proposing proactive mitigation or solutions
- Mentor and support junior Business Analysts and contribute to best practice sharing within the BA community
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT or software development environment
- Strong knowledge of business analysis techniques, tools, and frameworks (e.g., BPMN, UML, user stories, use cases, process mapping)
- Experience with Agile (Scrum, SAFe) and/or Waterfall methodologies
- Proficient in requirements management and documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Enterprise Architect)
- Excellent communication skills in Hungarian and English (written and spoken), with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Ability to be present onsite for meetings and workshops
