About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join our team and work with our Client, a leading gaming operator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in delivering Business Requirements and Scope of Work for digital transformation projects. You will ensure that information is regularly reviewed and updated and provide appropriate reporting to program leadership. 

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing system users/clients.
  • Participate in planning and scoping the architecture as well as physical and logical system plans.
  • Assist business owners in defining business overviews, needs, and scopes.
  • Lead the analysis/pre-sprint process for requirements gathering and definition, story mapping, etc.
  • Write high-quality requirements and document them in tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
  • Collaborate closely with Scrum teams, other business analysts, stakeholders, enterprise and solution architects to ensure a unified understanding of deliverables.
  • Participate in backlog refinement processes.
  • Clarify uncertainties and answer questions during pre-sprint ceremonies.
  • Understand integrations, functional and non-functional requirements, and dependencies within the respective business area.
  • Support release planning activities.
  • Assist the Product Owner in prioritizing the product backlog.

Skills and qualities we appreciate

  • Flexible, friendly, and proactive attitude.
  • Helpful, organized, and willing to go the extra mile for the team.
  • Fluent in Hungarian and English.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Good understanding of Waterfall or Hybrid project methodologies.
  • Experience in Software Engineering and understanding of the Software Delivery Life Cycle.
  • Direct experience within the gaming industry is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using PM tools, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and identify interdependencies.
  • Ability to be present onsite for meetings and workshops (Budapest, Hungary).
